How we handleyour data.

selvé is a Pakistani direct-to-consumer skincare brand. This policy covers data collected through selve.pk and our transactional emails.

We collect the minimum necessary to operate the store and deliver your orders:

• Account & checkout: name, email, phone, shipping address, marketing-preference flag.
• Order history: what you bought, when, applied codes, payment method, and fulfilment status.
• Reviews: if you submit one, your name and review text are public; your email is not.
• Cart cookie: a random identifier linking your browser to an in-progress cart. Expires in 60 days. No identifying data inside.
• Server logs: IP address, page visited, referring URL, browser type — retained for 30 days for security and fraud prevention.

We do not collect biometric data or store card numbers.

• To process and ship your orders.
• To send transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping, delivery).
• If you opted in: occasional marketing emails about new formulations and ingredient guides. Unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.
• To improve the site (anonymous traffic patterns, page performance).
• To enforce limits (one-per-customer discounts, rate-limiting on submissions).

We never sell or rent your data to third parties.

We work with trusted providers to operate the store. They receive only the data they need, and are contractually bound to use it for that purpose alone.

• Hosting & infrastructure — to serve the website and route requests.
• Database & authentication — to store your account and order records, encrypted at rest.
• Email delivery — to send order confirmations, shipping updates, and (with consent) marketing.
• Payment processing — card details are handled directly by our processor. We never see or store them.
• Delivery partners — to ship your parcel. Limited to your name, phone, and shipping address.

• Order records: 7 years (Pakistani tax + accounting requirement).
• Account profile: until you ask us to delete it.
• Cart cookies: 60 days from last activity.
• Server logs: 30 days.
• Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.

You can ask us to:

• Show you all the data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete your account and personal data (we'll keep order records as required by tax law, with personal identifiers removed).
• Stop using your data for marketing.

We use cookies for:

• Session cookie: keeps you signed in.
• Cart cookie: remembers your in-progress cart between visits.
• Theme cookie: remembers your light or dark preference.
